PSX.NET ExternalSimRouter is installed on SIM PC 2 alongside PSX. Each PC has the correct WindowsFirewall permissions for all the necessary Ports & programmes to run PSX, PSX.NET ExternalSimRouter, p3D, ActiveSky, VisualPSX, WidePSX, vPilot, BACARS, PSX.NET & WideClient correctly.Īll the necessary file permissions have been shared, simconnect has been correctly configured on both SIM PC 1 & 3 & I am able to connect both the vary last version of p3Dv3 & p3Dv4 accross this network.īoth versions of p3D have been installed into an SSD onto SIM PC 3 fully separate from the WIN7 native file structures as recommended.
Each PC has a correctly configured fixed IPV4 address as per the LAN Switch manufacturers set up instructions. The LAN is 3 separate WIN7 PCs kept fully up to to date. My LAN is hardwired into a switch via CAT6 cabling. Most of the help that I did find merely suggested that one should just simply start reading over older posts on the subject. Why have I not gone direct to the FS Global Real Weather forum you may rightly ask? Because quite frankly it is of little use & seems to be a very quiet & generally unfriendly place for a product that people have parted money for.

Having established that FS Global Real Weather upper winds & temperatures can be 'forced' into PSX by the wind module.dll that comes with the latest version of Garys BACARs v4 I decided to go ahead & purchase FS Global Real Weather to see how it shaped up against ActiveSky which I have been using for over a decade across my FS in 'networked mode'īefore I start & to avoid some necessary 'forum tennis' just a few words about my 'network' so we don't start sucking on eggs - I am the first to admit I am somewhat of a 'Luddite' when it comes to working with computer software but I am able to follow clear instructions!
